It’s About:  Gymnastics, a new and exciting DVD promoting the positive side of gymnastics from the inside-out, is now available to both gymnasts and gymnastic academies worldwide.

This engaging and fast paced program is targeted at children ages 4-13 interested in the sport of gymnastics, and offers a broad introduction to the physical and mental benefits of the sport.  It’s appeal spans such a wide age range because it is entirely narrated by young gymnasts. Several of the gymnasts have competed on a national level, and two of the stars have become National Champions

“The Olympics and the training that goes into them is what most people think of when they think of gymnastics,” said Jamie Winkler, a gymnastic coach and one of the producers of the program.  “The grueling work-outs, the intense competition, and the pressure from parents and coaches to succeed is what gets most of the attention when gymnastics are covered in the media.  But there is another side to gymnastics, and that’s what this program is about.  The flip side!  The fun, the sense of accomplishment from learning something new, and the healthy benefits to the body and the mind”, Winkler said.

This upbeat approach is what has made the DVD a tremendous success.  It’s About: Gymnastics showcases the major competitive events of Floor, Balance Beam, Uneven Bars, and Vault.  From first steps to the most challenging maneuvers, our stars share their experiences and triumphs as we watch them train. Separate chapters focus on the many benefits of gymnastics, including strength, focus, dance, camaraderie, and fun.  For many, these benefits last a lifetime. 

“Watching these gymnasts practice, I’ve never encountered a more dedicated, focused, and genuinely happy group of young athletes in my life” director Timothy Englert said.  Kimberly Englert, Co-Producer, adds: “These kids epitomize the strong mind and body ideal.
